praying in old catholic church

“As the sparrow finds a home and the swallow a nest to settle her young, my home is by Your altars, LORD of hosts, my king and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They never cease to praise You.

Blessed the man who finds refuge in you, in their hearts are pilgrim roads. As they pass through the Baca valley, they find spring water to drink. The early rain covers it with blessings. They will go from strength to strength and see the God of gods on Zion.

LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; listen, God of Jacob. For a sun and shield is the LORD God, bestowing all grace and glory. The LORD withholds no good thing from those who walk without reproach.”

Mt. Calvary, Catholic Daughters of America & 40 Days for LIFE

The 3rd Annual “Memorial for the Unborn” was held at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery on Sunday. I got a few pics to share the event and highlight the upcoming 40 Days for Life campaign!

My mom was kind enough to join me and the kiddos for our little outing – Mac’s BurgerKing kids meal was finished up before the service even got started but the included sticker “toy” ended up being just right for a mostly quiet and entertaining activity for him!

We got the above program upon arrival. There were a couple gentlemen who banded together to play the music for different parts of the memorial. THANK GOODNESS the organizers thought to hand out programs with the exact song wording so all could sing along!

The men started with Amazing Grace, played Jesus Loves Me, and wrapped up the memorial with a sweet song called Gone Before They Were Born. Some of the visitors were given flowers to be added to the vases of the dedicated memorial headstone during the playing of this final song.

Quick Note: the guy in the red shirt standing behind the headstone is retired Deacon Bob. He was the one that married Paul & I at St. Wenceslaus in 2019 <3
