~keeping faith & family close to heart in a modern world~

praying in old catholic church

“As the sparrow finds a home and the swallow a nest to settle her young, my home is by Your altars, LORD of hosts, my king and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They never cease to praise You.

Blessed the man who finds refuge in you, in their hearts are pilgrim roads. As they pass through the Baca valley, they find spring water to drink. The early rain covers it with blessings. They will go from strength to strength and see the God of gods on Zion.

LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; listen, God of Jacob. For a sun and shield is the LORD God, bestowing all grace and glory. The LORD withholds no good thing from those who walk without reproach.”

The Most Important Disciples You Will Have Are Sitting At Your Kitchen Table.

{ In all of your days, what memories tend to stand out most when you think about LOVE? What about real laughter & true happiness? }

Who are the people around you in some of your best memories? And what about the bad days? Who is almost guaranteed to put a smile on your face or lift your spirit on the days that have just gone to sh*t?

It’s very likely that those wonderful, beautiful souls are also the ones you find gathered around your kitchen table.

Our little family has been blessed with a bit more quality family time lately than we’re used to getting – it’s truly priceless witnessing the shared smile between baby girl Cambrie and daddy Paul, her designated life-long protector.

Mac has also enjoyed learning new things with daddy Paul and getting to partake in the different adventures that are sure to keep him moving & busy.

All joking aside, they are pretty darn cute little blessings! And at bedtime prayers, I ALWAYS make sure Mac hears his mama thanking the Lord for him – for trusting mama and daddy to raise these two little babies in His image, for keeping my babies Safe-Happy-Healthy, & for always providing the tools we need to continue growing them up in His image more and more each day.

I got caught up on the rest of season 2 of The Chosen (Cam had to stay home today due to her high fevers over the weekend so her and mama got a sick day together). Anyway, there’s a part in one of the seasons where Jesus’ mother Mary is humbly telling the disciples about how it felt to deliver, raise, and train-up the future messiah. Her response was fairly short and simple, but moving, nonetheless.

What a beautiful life He has created for all; and called every one of His children to. Above all else, I am thankful for the good Lord calling me to motherhood. He continually places a hunger within me to know Him deeper and grow in right relationship with my faith.
